In 1998, Made's still unpolished talent was discovered by teachers of the Dutch Academy of Art, and he was invited to come to Holland for private schooling. In Holland, he worked together with a group of artists, and his artwork was displayed at several exhibitions. During this period his knowledge of art grew and his confidence became enough strong to fully live the life of an artist in Bali.

Once back in Bali, he built the house with a studio. His work can be seen regularly at many temporary exhibitions in many popular tourist areas of Bali.
