On our platform we distinguish various formats of arts that can be acquired:
Physical art
Paintings, drawings, sculptures, art installations.
Digital art
Prints from photos, digital artworks, illustrations, conceptual art on different media. Some can have limited editions or signed.
NFTs and Digital copies of physical art
Digital media with certain type of copyrights attached to it.
With a goal to empower artists to create more and to live by creating art, we’ve set a major principle:
Buying Physical art does not grant implicit rights to copy and reproduce the artwork.
What it means is that even if you’re holding an actual piece doesn't mean that you hold a copyright on creative work itself. Artists can continue selling digital art or copyright separately from physical art.
Types of copyrights
We’ve developed 3 types of copyrights:
1.Right to distribute
2.Right to sell
3.Right to mint (exclusive right)
We’ll dig deeper into each concept to show what are the opportunities and implications it brings to both buyers and artists
This right will give you unlimited rights to make and sell copies of the artwork on any media, both digital and physical. As a result of your purchase you will receive a high quality digital copy with a legal copyright certificate that grants you implicit right, signed by the artist and enforced by our platform.
This copyright relates to NFTs. As the result of your purchase you will receive an NFT to directly to your wallet or link to acquire it on a NFT-marketplace, depending on your checkout preferance. Works that are pre-minted, with attached smart contracts that you can check in the listing. For the rest, the conditions of the mint are stated during the checkout process.
This transfers you an exclusive copyright to the artwork with the right to mint NFTs on any blockchain or distribute on any channels or media.
